Am Fasgadh (meaning The Shelter)

The drop-in centre is just that, you do not need an appointment slot or to phone ahead, just pop in for a friendly chat and a cuppa and see what we have to offer.
We have a lovely welcoming atmosphere, especially in the winter when the coal fire is burning in the living room.
There are laptops and tablets with free internet access, a cafe serving a hot meal at 12pm each day for £3.00 and teas and coffees all day for 50p.  From time to time we have workshops and classes run by either our staff or other trainers.
We also arrange trips from time to time.
There is a quiet room if you want to chat in private, and other rooms that can be used for watching TV etc.  We have a washing machine and tumble dryer for members use at £1 per load.

What I appreciate most about Am Fasgadh is the food. Mental health is improved by eating properly. When I’m not at Am Fasgadh I’m heating up ready meals, but I always feel better for a good substantial meal and what you get there is as good as in any of the cafes in Portree
