Evidence‑Based Skills for Real‑Life Emotional Regulation

Am Fasgadh Furniture Project

The Association has been running a furniture project for some years now. We uplift unwanted furniture that is in good, clean working condition and pass it on to those who need it. There are times when we have surplus furniture which enables us to sell items but priority always goes to those in most need.

We were very fortunate in 2018 to be one of the main recipients of funding from the Highland Cross, we were donated a van and storage units to enable us to uplift and store more furniture.

Helping with the furniture makes me feel good about myself, I feel that I am contributing to the community and that people will see me rather than my illness.

Request Furniture

To request an item of furniture please get in touch and let us know what you want and if possible the sizes, e.g. if you need a fridge to fit in a certain space etc. we ask for an agreed donation, depending on each individuals’ financial situation and condition of the item.

We can deliver your items but please make sure that we can get access to the building and you have let us know if there are any stairs etc., and if there is anyone there to help the driver.

All of our surplus furniture are advertised on our furniture facebook page which appears on this page - should you wish to request an item please contact us on Facebook messenger or phone the number below.

Donate Furniture

To uplift your donation we ask for a minimum donation towards the fuel costs depending on the number of items and where you are. Please ask when you contact us how much this will be, though donations start at £10.

We require as much notice as possible for uplifts, we are unable to pick up items without prior notice as we do not have a full – time driver.

Please make sure there is access to the building and that you make us aware of any stairs etc and if there is someone there to help the driver. Should the driver arrive and the items are not as describes, we reserve the right not to uplift the items.

Please note we do not do house clearances.

Be part of it

If you think we can help you and need our support we would be so happy to have you. Get in touch if you need support.

We are open 365 days a year, and we provides a safe and comfortable place in which to escape the isolation that so often goes with a mental health problem. We don’t do therapy or counselling but we what we do provide is friendship and support with a human face. We offer advice and guidance, emotional support, help with forms and phone calls, help in dealing with other organisations and speaking up for what you want, plus whatever practical support we can.
