Making Memories
Our Making Memories project creates opportunities for members to enjoy positive experiences, build confidence and make happy memories that can begin to outweigh more difficult ones.
The project enables members to take part in experiences many people take for granted, such as going to the theatre, enjoying a day out or travelling to Inverness—our nearest major shopping centre, around 130 miles away—to shop for clothes and other essentials.
We are incredibly grateful to Highland Cross for gifting us a minibus. It allows us to offer a mixture of planned outings and spontaneous trips, including walks and visits to beautiful local places when the weather is good.
The nature of mental ill health means it is not always possible for someone to commit to an activity weeks in advance. Our minibus gives us the flexibility to respond to how members are feeling on the day. Sometimes, when everyone is feeling up to it and the opportunity arises, we can simply get together and head somewhere lovely.
These shared experiences help reduce isolation, strengthen friendships and give our members something positive to enjoy, remember and look forward to.
We always have a range of activities on the go. These are designed so that you can come, when you are able, and join in at any stage. The activities we run include Arts and Crafts, Gardening at our allotment, Board games, Music request Fridays (with Karaoke) , Crosswords and puzzles. To find out what activities are on at the moment just keep an eye on our News or our socials Facebook, Instagram etc

Christmas is really special at Am Fasgadh, we are open all through the festive period and have Christmas Dinner on Christmas day and Home made pies on New Years Day.
Be part of it
If you think we can help you and need our support we would be so happy to have you. Get in touch if you need support.
We are open 365 days a year, and we provides a safe and comfortable place in which to escape the isolation that so often goes with a mental health problem. We don’t do therapy or counselling but we what we do provide is friendship and support with a human face. We offer advice and guidance, emotional support, help with forms and phone calls, help in dealing with other organisations and speaking up for what you want, plus whatever practical support we can.
